The START Center for Cancer Care is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our growing team. As a Clinic LVN, you will play a vital role in coordinating patient care, supporting physicians, and ensuring an exceptional experience for patients throughout their cancer treatment journey.

Position Summary

The Clinic LVN provides patient care coordination and clinic support within an oncology practice setting. This role is responsible for triaging patient inquiries, coordinating appropriate follow-up, assisting with patient education, and supporting the overall continuum of care.

Essential Responsibilities

- Coordinate new patient referrals and ensure all required information is obtained prior to scheduling patient visits.
- Triage and prioritize patient needs received in person, by phone, and through the patient portal.
- Coordinate timely follow-up and resolution of patient concerns with appropriate providers and departments.
- Support the authorization process by providing clinical information necessary for accurate billing and reimbursement.
- Coordinate patient care activities for physicians and ensure appropriate follow-up care is completed.
- Educate patients and family members regarding disease processes, treatment plans, and available resources.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support quality patient care initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- One to three years of oncology experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and triage skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to work within electronic medical records and patient communication platforms.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
