Network Engineering - Advisor II
What does a successful Network Engineering - Advisor II do at Fiserv?
A successful Network Engineering - Advisor II designs, manages, and optimizes network infrastructure that supports business goals and reliable service delivery. This role strengthens network performance, availability, and data integrity while resolving technical issues and integrating new technologies. Working closely with team members, this position helps advance best practices and scalable network solutions that support operational success.
What you will do?
- Maintain and optimize network infrastructure to support company goals and service reliability.
- Develop and implement network management procedures and policies to strengthen operational consistency.
- Evaluate and integrate new network technologies to improve network capabilities and performance.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues while helping ensure data integrity and high availability of network systems.
- Monitor network performance and capacity to proactively identify and address issues.
What you must have?
- 6+ years of experience in network engineering or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in SAN/NAS administration or similar network frameworks, plus 3+ years of experience in backup and recovery systems and protocols.
- 3+ years of experience in cloud network solutions or virtualization technologies, and 3+ years of experience with network infrastructure solutions such as Cisco, Juniper, or Arista.
- 3+ years of experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef, plus 6+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience.
What would be nice to have?
- 1+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
- Experience supporting 2 or more enterprise network environments or frameworks.
- Experience working with 3 or more core network technology platforms or tools.
