Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate power winding machines to produce transformer coils in accordance with work instructions, specifications, and established procedures.
- Load, position, and secure wire, insulation, and other materials required for the winding process.
- Read and follow applicable work instructions, specifications, blueprints, and production documentation.
- Set and monitor machine parameters, including winding speed, tension, dimensions, and other applicable settings.
- Monitor equipment and winding operations to identify process variations, equipment issues, or other conditions that may affect product quality.
- Make routine machine and process adjustments as required to maintain established winding specifications.
- Perform required visual and dimensional quality checks throughout the winding process and inspect completed coils for conformance to specifications.
- Identify and report damaged materials, defects, equipment issues, or other nonconforming conditions to supervision.
- Perform routine operator-level equipment checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance activities as authorized.
- Complete and maintain required production and quality documentation accurately.
- Maintain tools, materials, and supplies necessary to support assigned production activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures, work instructions, and PPE requirements.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet safety, quality, and production goals.

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or coil-winding experience preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, blueprints, and production documentation.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to make routine equipment adjustments.
- Basic mathematical and measurement skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic computer skills for equipment operation and production documentation, as applicable.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Shift Information

- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- 3rd Shift - Monday - Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- All new hires start on 2nd Shift unless discussed.
- Overtime may be required, including early start times or later end times.

Physical Demands:

This position involves sustained physical activity and may require prolonged standing and walking; frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, climbing, pushing, pulling, grasping, and repetitive movement; and handling or positioning materials and equipment. Lifting and carrying requirements will be identified based on the essential functions of the specific position and may include loads exceeding 50 pounds, including team-assisted or mechanical lifting where appropriate.

The position requires sufficient visual ability to safely perform assigned work, identify components and materials, read equipment markings and work instructions, recognize hazards, perform required inspections or precision work, and safely operate or work around industrial equipment.

The position requires sufficient hearing ability to communicate in an industrial environment and recognize equipment operation or changes in operation, audible warnings, alarms, signals, and other conditions necessary for safe job performance.

Working Conditions:

- Work is performed in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, moving machinery, and powered material-handling equipment.
- Work may involve exposure to varying temperatures, dust, airborne particulates, and other conditions typical of manufacturing operations.
- Required to work around forklifts, hoists, powered tools, and other industrial equipment.
- Required use of applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with established safety procedures.
