Key Responsibilities
- Assemble transformer components and sub-assemblies in accordance with work instructions, specifications, and established manufacturing procedures.
- Operate assigned production machinery, tools, and equipment safely and in accordance with established procedures.
- Load, position, and handle materials and components as required for assigned production processes.
- Read and interpret work instructions, specifications, blueprints, and other production documentation as required.
- Perform required quality checks throughout the manufacturing process and identify or report defects and nonconforming materials.
- Maintain materials, tools, and supplies necessary to support assigned production activities.
- Complete and maintain required production and quality records accurately.
- Operate a forklift in accordance with established safety procedures when required for the assigned work area.
- Identify and report equipment, material, quality, or production issues to supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures, work instructions, and PPE requirements.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar production environment preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools and basic machinery operation.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and specifications.
- Basic mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Shift Information
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- 3rd Shift - Monday - Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- All new hires start on 2nd Shift unless discussed.
- Overtime may be required, including early start times or later end times.
Physical Demands:
This position requires prolonged periods of standing and/or walking and frequent bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand and arm movements. The employee must frequently lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds. Additional physical requirements may apply based on the specific equipment, materials, and processes associated with the position. The position requires sufficient visual ability to safely perform assigned work, read work instructions and equipment markings, distinguish and identify components or materials as required by the job, inspect work as applicable, recognize workplace hazards, and safely operate or work around manufacturing equipment. The position requires sufficient hearing ability to communicate in a manufacturing environment and recognize relevant equipment sounds, audible warning signals, alarms, and other conditions necessary to safely perform essential job functions. The physical, vision, and hearing requirements described above represent those necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. Qualified individuals must be able to perform these essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, moving machinery, and powered material-handling equipment.
- Work may be performed near ovens and other equipment that generates elevated temperatures.
- Required to work around forklifts, hoists, powered tools, and other industrial equipment.
- Required use of applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with established safety procedures.
