Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake equipment to form and bend metal components in accordance with blueprints, specifications, work instructions, and established procedures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and other production documentation.
- Select, install, and position appropriate dies, punches, and tooling based on material and production requirements.
- Set and adjust machine parameters based on material thickness, bend angles, dimensions, and other applicable specifications.
- Calculate bend allowances and other measurements necessary to produce components to required specifications.
- Load, position, and remove materials and completed components from press brake equipment.
- Use appropriate measuring devices to verify dimensions, angles, and other required specifications.
- Perform required visual and dimensional quality checks throughout the forming process and identify nonconforming components.
- Make routine machine and tooling adjustments as necessary to maintain established specifications.
- Monitor equipment operation and identify and report mechanical, tooling, material, or production issues to supervision.
- Perform routine operator-level equipment checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance activities as authorized.
- Complete and maintain required production and quality documentation accurately.
- Maintain tools, materials, and supplies necessary to support assigned production activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures, work instructions, machine-guarding requirements, and PPE requirements.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous manufacturing, metal fabrication, or machine operation experience preferred.
- Previous press brake experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and production documentation.
- Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to perform measurements and calculations required for forming operations.
- Ability to use applicable measuring devices to verify dimensions and specifications.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to make routine machine and tooling adjustments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Shift Information
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- 3rd Shift - Monday - Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- All new hires start on 2nd Shift unless discussed.
- Overtime may be required, including early start times or later end times.
Physical Demands:
This position involves sustained physical activity and may require prolonged standing and walking; frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, climbing, pushing, pulling, grasping, and repetitive movement; and handling or positioning materials and equipment. Lifting and carrying requirements will be identified based on the essential functions of the specific position and may include loads exceeding 50 pounds, including team-assisted or mechanical lifting where appropriate.
The position requires sufficient visual ability to safely perform assigned work, identify components and materials, read equipment markings and work instructions, recognize hazards, perform required inspections or precision work, and safely operate or work around industrial equipment.
The position requires sufficient hearing ability to communicate in an industrial environment and recognize equipment operation or changes in operation, audible warnings, alarms, signals, and other conditions necessary for safe job performance.

Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, moving machinery, and powered material-handling equipment.
- Work may involve exposure to varying temperatures, dust, airborne particulates, and other conditions typical of manufacturing operations.
- Required to work around forklifts, hoists, powered tools, and other industrial equipment.
- Required use of applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with established safety procedures.
