Job Title: Capital Project Manager Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Capital Project Manager to oversee capital and operating projects from initiation through close-out. This role involves ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget, coordinating with stakeholders, and managing engineering collaborations to maintain quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned capital and operating projects, ensuring they are on schedule and within budget.
- Review project scope and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure desired outcomes.
- Ensure stakeholder involvement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure quality, timeliness, and cost efficiency.
- Oversee and review the involvement of outside agencies and execution of required agreements.
- Prepare necessary documentation for successful completion of Capital Project Oversight Committee and Board authorizations.
Essential Skills
- Bachelors degree in engineering or architecture from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of five years of project management experience in managing airport infrastructure capital/operating projects.
- Experience supporting design, construction, and procurement of construction contracts.
- Strong understanding of project development, implementation, and management processes.
- Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Valid drivers license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
- Familiarity with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circulars.
- Experience with airport redevelopment programs.
- Demonstrated experience in managing utility projects such as electrical substations, duct banks, water infrastructure, and fire protection systems.
- Ability to develop complex strategies for project delivery and represent the needs of the Agency and Aviation Department.
- Experience with cost-benefit and life cycle cost analyses, project planning, and risk management.
- Experience with alternative procurement strategies such as Design-Build.
Work Environment
This position requires working on-site at the airport, managing fast-paced projects of significant complexity and risk. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders within and outside the organization to achieve broad business goals.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Mount Laurel, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $145000.00 - $156000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. ---------------------------------------
