About this role
As a Senior LVN, will play a vital role in delivering high quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population. In this dynamic position, you will be a dedicated, Neurology trained Sr. LVN floating the various Neurology clinics. You will collaborate closely with clinic leadership, administrative teams, faculty physicians, fellows, residents and medical students alongside medical assistants and ancillary staff to ensure seamless, team - based approach to patient care.
You'll be at the forefront of clinical excellence, utilizing your expertise to assess patient needs, identify both routine and critical changes in condition, and respond swiftly to potential life-threatening situations. Your ability to prioritize, coordinate and execute established clinical protocols and procedures will be key to maintaining the highest standards of safety and care.
Salary Range: $38.54 - $50.84
Required:
- Possess an active license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal Certification
- Possession of BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Performs CPR, injections and other skills within scope of practice
- Ability to take vital signs, administer medications and obtain drug refills as needed
- Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and report to the physcian
- Knowledge of symptomatology of common and or life threatening medical problems
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, Windows computer function, computer navigation and ability to use computerized patient care systems
- Knowledge of all safety requirements when handling biohazardous specimens or contaminated instruments
- Interpersonal skills maintaining a cooperative working environment with the physicians, staff and all health providers
- Verbal skills to effectively convey sensitive information in a courteous manner in person or on the telephone
- Able to travel to Westwood clinic locations and Santa Monica location - on occasion
Preferred:
- Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to set up/assist provider with procedures
- 6+ months of LVN experience
