Southern Health Partners is seeking a compassionate and qualified Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to provide behavioral health services at the Morgan County Detention Center in Georgia .
This is an ideal opportunity for a mental health professional looking for a small, consistent part-time commitment of approximately 6 hours per week while making a meaningful impact in a unique healthcare environment.
Qualified candidates may include a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Psychiatric Registered Nurse with the appropriate mental health experience and credentials.
What Youll Do
As a QMHP with Southern Health Partners, youll provide behavioral health support to patients within a safe and secure correctional healthcare setting.
- Provide mental health assessments and behavioral health services
- Evaluate patients for mental health needs and changes in condition
- Provide individual counseling and therapeutic interventions as appropriate
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Monitor patient progress and document services provided
- Identify and respond to behavioral health concerns
- Collaborate with the healthcare team regarding patient care
- Provide education and support to patients regarding mental health needs
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation

Qualifications
Qualifications
Qualified candidates may include:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN)
Additional requirements:
- Current, unrestricted professional license appropriate to the role
- Experience providing behavioral health or mental health services
- Strong assessment, communication, and clinical documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Commitment to providing compassionate, professional care in a correctional setting
Correctional healthcare experience is not required .
