Southern Health Partners is seeking a dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at the Madison County Detention Center in Alabama.
This is a PRN night shift position working 12-hour shifts , with a night shift differential available . PRN team members help provide dependable coverage when needed while maintaining the flexibility that comes with a PRN schedule.
What Youll Do
As an LPN with Southern Health Partners, youll provide hands-on nursing care to patients in a safe and secure correctional healthcare setting.
- Provide nursing care and treatments according to established protocols
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Perform assessments and monitor patient conditions
- Respond to urgent and emergent healthcare needs
- Communicate patient concerns and changes in condition to the appropriate medical provider
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with the correctional healthcare team to support quality patient care
- Help maintain a safe, respectful, and professional environment
🌙 PRN Night Shift Expectations
- PRN night shift availability is required
- Shifts consist of 12 hours
- Night shift differential available
- PRN team members are expected to provide reliable coverage for accepted and scheduled shifts
- Team members should provide at least four available dates each month
- Holiday availability should be provided in advance whenever possible
- PRN availability and coverage expectations may vary based on facility staffing needs
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in the state of Alabama
- Current CPR certification
- Correctional healthcare experience is not required
- Must be dependable and able to work independently in a secure environment
- Must be available for PRN night shift coverage
- Strong communication, organization, and clinical skills
- Commitment to providing quality patient care in a correctional setting
