Position Summary

Serve as the Urea Subject Matter Expert (SME) within Process Engineering, providing specialized technical leadership for complex engineering challenges. Develop and recommend practical, efficient, and cost-effective solutions that meet project objectives. Apply extensive knowledge of current engineering principles, industry practices, and Urea process technology to support high-quality project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Provide Urea process SME support for a revamp project during Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), using the licensor’s Process Design Package (PDP) as the technical basis. Responsibilities include:

- Guide the FEED execution team in interpreting and applying the licensor’s PDP.
- Serve as the technical liaison with the Urea licensor to resolve PDP interpretation questions and support FEED development.
- Verify the technical integrity and consistent application of the PDP across key FEED deliverables, including equipment specifications, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and the control philosophy.
- Participate in FEED milestone reviews, including P&ID reviews, HAZOP studies, and model reviews.
- Support technical checks, peer reviews, and the timely incorporation of review comments and findings.

Additional Responsibilities

- Collaborate across disciplines to resolve technical, vendor, and customer issues.
- Ensure discipline technical work and team activities comply with applicable health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
- Promote adherence to generally accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
- Apply relevant technical knowledge, legal requirements, customer specifications, and local and global standards to support technical excellence.

Qualifications
Education

·        Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related technical discipline from an accredited four-year program.

Experience

·        Minimum of 12 years of engineering experience, including substantial experience with Urea process technology and the development or review of licensor-based engineering deliverables.

Collaboration and Communication

·        Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively within a small, high-caliber team operating with visibility to senior stakeholders. Strong communication and relationship-management skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines, teams, customers, licensors, suppliers, and contractors.
