## Project Overview:

Bechtel’s Manufacturing & Technology (M&T) Business Unit is designing and building an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Manufacturing Facility located at Generation Park in Houston, TX. ## Job Summary:

In this role, you will assist in providing professional financial and economic support services reporting to the Billing Supervisor. The Project Billing Specialist will perform contractual invoicing the project located in Houston, TX. This position will ensure that financial controls and procedures are in place and that the project complies with Bechtel policies and contractual, commercial requirements.

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership

## Major Responsibilities:

- Maintain a complete and thorough understanding of the financial requirements of the prime contract.
- Review unbilled cost transactions, unit rate transactions, and account reconciliations to ensure all costs are billed timely, held items are addressed promptly, and transactions are categorized correctly according to contract billing terms.
- Coordinate with the Service Center Billing Organization to ensure accurate and timely client billing delivery.
- Partner with Project Management, Project Controls, and other project teams that impact the billing process.
- Collaborate with Project Finance team members, particularly regarding the billing of supplier and subcontractor invoices to the client.
- Implement and continuously improve billing controls and processes to ensure compliance and meet required deadlines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

## Education and Experience Requirements:

- A University Hire with less than 1 year of experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience

## Required Knowledge and Skills:

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in billing roles
- Understanding of accounting principles, concepts, and terminology
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Oracle Financials
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment
- Sound business judgment in executing assigned work and recognizing when issues should be escalated for resolution
