## Project Overview:

Bechtel’s Manufacturing & Technology (M&T) Business Unit is designing and building an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Manufacturing Facility located at Generation Park in Houston, TX. ## Job Summary:

Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the Project AP Specialist will perform Accounts Payable activities for the Project. The position is located at the project site Houston, TX. The position requires the ability to maintain confidentiality with a strong ethical behavior in workplace practices, a customer-service orientation with a demonstrated professional demeanor and communication style, flexibility, and commitment to meeting deadlines. #LI-AM3

## Major Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and support Accounts Payable activities, including the review, approval routing, processing, and payment of supplier and subcontractor invoices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project approver groups and ensure invoices are routed promptly through the Accounts Payable workflow tool.
- Prepare and review project AP hold reports, ensuring holds are resolved quickly to facilitate timely invoice payments.
- Coordinate with the Service Center Accounts Payable organization to ensure accurate and timely processing and payment of project supplier and subcontractor invoices.
- Partner with Project Management, Procurement, Project Controls, and other project teams that impact the Accounts Payable process.
- Communicate and coordinate with suppliers as needed to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and payment.
- Collaborate with Project Finance team members, particularly regarding the billing of supplier and subcontractor invoices to the client.Implement and continuously improve Accounts Payable controls and processes to ensure compliance and meet deadlines.
- Manage and maintain the project accounting shared mailbox.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly supplier and subcontractor accruals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

## Education and Experience Requirements:

- A University Hire with less than 1 year of experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience

## Required Knowledge and Skills:

- Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

- Understanding of accounting principles, concepts and terminology.

- Good initiative and ability to work independently while functioning effectively in a team environment.

- Sound business judgment in execution of assigned work and in understanding when issues need to be escalated for resolution.
