How you will make history here...
The MRO Purchaser (under the supervision of the Engineering & Maintenance Manager) is responsible for coordinating SAP inventory, purchasing/expediting parts, MRO supplies, outside service, contract coordination and generating purchase orders
What you will do.. .
- Purchasing
o Creates purchase orders in SAP for: MRO/miscellaneous supplies, capital projects, contract purchases
o Obtains price quotations from prospective vendors for MRO supplies, services and miscellaneous materials.
o Coordinates invoices from vendors and prepares proper documentation associated with Work Order files.
o Establishes and maintains hard copy and electronic files for purchasing activities
o Responsible for resolving invoice discrepancies, vendor generated credit follow-ups and freight charge accruals
o Develops vendor blanket purchase orders, updating them annually or “as needed” basis.
o Orders general supplies for Engineering and Maintenance Department as well as various plant needs on an “as needed” basis.
- Inventory management
o Compares available inventory of each part or piece of equipment with its specified re-ordering point
o Reviews of historical data on equipment parts and re-orders as necessary
o Evaluates repair/replace options
o Coordinates cycle counting and physical inventory of storeroom
o Generates various SAP reports including stock replenishment, inventory usage, value analysis, parts allocation, and delinquent purchase orders.
o Works closely with vendors on stocking and maintaining shop inventory
o Reconcile invoices and quarterly inventories
o Tracks usage for annual pricing negotiations
o Works closely with vendors to control cost and maintain consistent consignment inventory
- Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by the Engineering and Maintenance Manager.
Who you will work with...
- Reporting into Maintenance and/or Reliability Manager
What you will bring to the table... (Must Have)
- High school diploma/GED required
- 3+ years of purchasing experience, manufacturing experience or supply chain experience
It would be great if you have... (Nice to Have)
- Associate’s degree in business, information system, or a related field
- 5+ years of food manufacturing experience
Compensation and Benefits:
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$60,500-$83,200
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
