Are you working toward independent clinical licensure and looking for an opportunity to build your skills in a community-based setting? Avivo is seeking a Therapist Trainee, Community Based to provide therapeutic services to individuals and families while receiving supervision and support in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. This position plays a key role in helping people achieve greater stability, wellness, and recovery through person-centered, trauma-informed care.

What You'll Do

- Complete diagnostic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

- Provide individual, family, couples, and group therapy services.

- Deliver trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered mental health services.

- Conduct crisis assessments and provide intervention and stabilization support as needed.

- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical needs.

- Coordinate services with medical providers, schools, community organizations, and other support systems.

- Connect clients with community resources and behavioral health services that support successful outcomes.

- Maintain timely, accurate, and professional documentation in accordance with agency, state, and regulatory requirements.

- Participate in clinical consultation, supervision, and multidisciplinary treatment planning.

- Support Avivo's commitment to reducing disparities and advancing equitable access to behavioral health services.

Qualifications

What You Bring

- Master's degree in a mental health-related field.

- Actively pursuing licensure as an LPCC, LMFT, or LICSW.

- Experience providing direct behavioral health or mental health services.

- Knowledge of diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.

- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and lived-experience backgrounds.

- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and relationship-building skills.

- Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation.

- Commitment to trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented services, and person-centered practices.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel throughout the community as needed.

- Ability to work a part-time schedule of 20 hours per week, primarily during afternoon and evening hours.
