About the Role:

We are searching for a highly engaged and strategic leader to join our Tax organization as an Indirect Tax Manager.

This role provides strategic leadership for indirect tax matters across Brazil, partnering closely with Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Procurement, Technology, and other enterprise functions. The position is responsible for advancing business objectives through strong governance, risk management, compliance oversight, and transformation initiatives, while supporting readiness for Brazil's evolving tax landscape.

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to business and finance leaders, supporting critical business decisions while ensuring effective management of indirect tax risks and compliance obligations. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence enterprise-wide initiatives, lead high-performing teams, and contribute to the future operating model of the Brazil Indirect Tax organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Leadership & Business Partnership:

- Act as a strategic advisor to business and functional leadership on indirect tax matters, business initiatives, and emerging regulatory developments.
- Advise on the tax implications of business initiatives, transactions, pricing strategies, contracts, and transformation projects.
- Support business growth while balancing compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to assess and manage the impact of Brazil Tax Reform and other legislative changes.
- Drive strong tax governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
- Provide leadership and oversight for indirect tax compliance, controversy, and audit activities.
- Lead process improvement, automation, and digital transformation initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness and business value.
- Develop and execute talent strategies, including coaching, succession planning, and capability building.
- Foster strong collaboration across local, regional, and global stakeholders.
- Support senior leadership through effective communication, executive presentations, and strategic recommendations.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Law, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related discipline.
- Advanced degree, MBA, specialization, or professional certification is preferred.

Experience:

- Minimum 8 years of progressive tax experience in a multinational, consulting, or complex corporate environment.
- Strong experience with Brazilian indirect taxation.
- Experience leading teams and developing talent.
- Experience leading complex projects and transformation initiatives.

Technical Expertise:

Required:

- Advanced knowledge of Brazilian indirect taxes, including ICMS, IPI, PIS, COFINS, and ISS.
- Strong understanding of Brazil Tax Reform (IBS, CBS and transition framework).
- Tax controversy, audit management, and risk assessment experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Language Requirements: Fluent English and Portuguese. Spanish is a plus.

Preferred:

- SAP and ERP tax processes.
- Tax technology and tax determination solutions.
- Data analytics, automation, AI, and digital transformation initiatives.
