Drives change management strategies and activities across multiple initiatives and portfolios from initiation through implementation and sustainment to achieve desired business results. Ensures integrated planning, coordinated stakeholder engagement, and successful adoption of business change. Engages leaders, stakeholders and impacted audiences to create an engaged workforce that understands the change and what it means for customers and employees. Understands a variety of business dimensions that must be considered in the implementation of change, including products, people, processes, channels and technology, and associated risks that must be interpreted, evaluated and mitigated. Drives overall business results by ensuring change is understood, accepted and sustained.
- Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group.
- Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives.
- Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
- Assists in the development of strategic plans.
- Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
- Leads the change strategy planning process combining subject matter expertise and organizational knowledge to implement successful change.
- Analyzes the scope of change to determine people, process, financial, technology, risks and other impacts.
- Breaks down strategic problems, and analyzes data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Provides advice and guidance to assigned business/group on implementation of change; evaluates the change environment to understand complexity and impact of change to develop a program that meets required objectives.
- Applies change management methodology and general management skills and knowledge to plan, organize and execute change management across a variety of projects, programs and business transformation initiatives.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to provide business context in the design, development and implementation of change. Ensures alignment between stakeholders.
- Develops change management solutions and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
- Partners with process owners, business leaders and delivery teams to support business transformation, process optimization, regulatory and operational change initiatives.
- Develops change strategy that enables leaders to promote and reinforce change, building commitment and readiness across impacted stakeholder groups.
- Builds and executes communications plans and develops executive-ready presentations, leader communications and engagement materials that drive awareness, understanding and leadership alignment.
- Identifies resistance to change and develops mitigation plans through communications, training and stakeholder engagement to implement and sustain change.
- Defines and monitors adoption, readiness and engagement measures; leverages data and insights to identify risks, measure outcomes and inform corrective actions.
- Establishes and maintains change governance practices, identifies cross-portfolio impacts, and escalates risks, dependencies and competing priorities to leadership for resolution.
- Supports complex business transformation portfolios that may span multiple business units, enterprise functions and operational teams across BMO.
- Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
- Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose and solve problems within given rules.
- Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive organizational change management experience leading complex business transformation initiatives.
- Proven experience managing change across multiple concurrent programs or portfolios
- Experience supporting large-scale banking transformation, customer experience modernization or operational transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of change management methodologies, including Prosci, ACMP or equivalent frameworks.
- Prosci Change Management Certification preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and executives and provide strategic advisory support.
- Experience developing executive communications, leadership engagement strategies, readiness plans, training strategies and adoption measurement frameworks.
- Experience working within financial services, lending, retail banking, operations or customer-facing transformation initiatives is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and business consulting skills with the ability to translate complex program information into actionable change strategies.
- Proven ability to lead independently in highly complex, ambiguous and fast-paced environments.
Salary :
$70,000.00 - $150,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
