Lockheed Martin is designing, developing, and delivering a next-gen wideband MILSATCOM system comprised of integrated space and ground segments that will provide enhanced communications capacity, flexibility and resiliency.

The selected candidate will support the Ground segment of the program as a Sr Staff Systems Integration & Test Engineer. Responsibilities will include technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and/or formal system development, testing and delivery. The candidate will work in a highly collaborative environment with frequent and direct interaction with various engineering disciplines and customers. Prior experience as a systems engineer or I&T with extensive domain knowledge of ground systems, networks, and integration & test of enterprise software products is required.

Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) or related discipline or equivalent professional experience
* Minimum of 7+ years work experience in Systems Development, Engineering or Integration and Test
* Experience in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, or formal system development/qualification/certification
* Prior experience with satellite ground systems design, development, or integration & test
* Demonstrated communications skills (verbal and written) with the ability to prepare and present program status to management and customers
* An Active Secret clearance is required to start (Must be a US citizen).

Desired Skills

* Experience working in an Agile I&T environment, including tools such as Jira and Confluence
* Working knowledge of integration flows and test phase requirements
* Demonstrated experience leading a cross-functional team in the planning and execution of a project goal
* Experience with enterprise Ground Product Line (GPL) products Horizon, Compass or Hades
* Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems and coordinate other integration participants for I&T program efficiency
* Generate concise but thorough test reports purpose-built for use in V&V events
* Deliver effective customer presentations that include performance results, schedule status, and corrective action details
* Active Secret clearance or higher
* Support occasional business travel (up to 25%)
* Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.

* Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $161300.00 - $299500.00
* Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
* Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $145100.00 - $269500.00
* Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
* Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $129000.00 - $239600.00
* Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
* Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $116100.00 - $215700.00
* Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Lufkin, TX; etc.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
