Job Description

The Banking Specialist I supports the management of community association bank accounts by assisting with account maintenance, documentation, and banking-related requests. This role provides administrative and operational support within a fast-paced, centralized accounting services environment serving community associations across North America. The position is ideal for individuals looking to build a foundation in banking operations, customer service, and accounting support. Candidates for this position must meet Associa's credit requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist with processing requests to open, close, and update community association bank accounts.

- Provide customer service support to branch offices regarding banking-related inquiries.

- Support communication and coordination with banking partners to maintain account information and documentation.

- Monitor, retrieve, and organize bank statements for community associations.

- Perform basic transaction research and assist with resolving banking discrepancies.

- Maintain accurate bank account information within Complete Control for Communities (C3).

- Process updates to account records, including signature card changes and account maintenance requests.

- Generate standard banking reports within Complete Control for Communities (C3).

- Collaborate with team members and other departments to support daily banking operations.

- Ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures and documentation requirements.

- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis on Excel.

- Customer service experience and a commitment to providing responsive support.

- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.

- Experience with Complete Control for Communities (C3) software preferred but not required.

- Experience using web-based ticketing systems preferred but not required.

- Understanding of the Community Association Management industry preferred but not required.

- Experience working in an Accounting Shared Services Center environment preferred but not required.

Education and Experience

- High School Diploma or GED required.

- Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required.

- 0-3 years of banking, customer service, administrative, or accounting support experience preferred.

- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
