About this role

OPS Security Group is hiring two armed Close Protection Agents for a protective detail in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. One position is day shift and one is night shift.

Pay and schedule

- $104,000 per year , salaried, full time

- Day shift: 5:00 am to 5:00 pm (12 hours)

- Night shift: 5:00 pm to 5:00 am (12 hours)

- Rotation: 3 days on, 3 days off, including weekends and holidays

- Fill-in hours: agents are required to work additional shifts beyond the rotation to cover call-outs, leave and training. This is a condition of the role, not optional overtime.

Required

- A current Pennsylvania Act 235 (Lethal Weapons Training) certification. Candidates holding Act 120 or an equivalent law enforcement academy certification who can obtain Act 235 will also be considered.

- At least 4 years of armed professional experience in law enforcement, the military, or armed security - or completion of a state or federal certified law enforcement training academy

- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

- Ability to commit to the 12-hour rotation and the required fill-in hours

- Current firearms proficiency and willingness to qualify to OPS standards

- Sound judgement under pressure, strong de-escalation skills, and thorough knowledge of use-of-force law

- Clear written and verbal communication, basic computer and smartphone skills, and reliable transportation

- Ability to obtain a Pennsylvania armed security officer licence, plus OCAT, PATH and PPBT

Strongly preferred

- Prior executive, close or dignitary protection experience, particularly protecting high-net-worth individuals or families

- Prior sworn law enforcement service, or combat military or special operations experience

- A valid LEOSA / HR-218 credential with a current annual qualification

- Combat Life Saver, Basic Life Saver, or current CPR and First Aid certification

Responsibilities

- Provide armed close protection to the principal and immediate family

- Control access to the residence and grounds and maintain a visible protective presence

- Conduct patrols, inspections and security checks on foot throughout a 12-hour shift

- Monitor CCTV, alarm and access control systems and respond to alerts

- Perform threat assessment, protective intelligence and advance work for movements

- Provide secure transportation and defensive driving as required

- De-escalate incidents and respond decisively to medical and security emergencies

- Produce accurate, timely incident and shift reports

- Maintain discretion and client confidentiality at all times

Physical Agility Test (PAT)

All five events must be passed to be hired. These standards also apply to agents currently assigned to this site.

- 800m run in 4 minutes or less

- 100-meter sprint to a 100 lb sandbag - pick up the sandbag and sprint back to the starting line, in 1 minute 30 seconds or less

- Minimum 30 push-ups in 1 minute

- Minimum 5 dead-hang pull-ups

- Minimum 10 Roman leg lifts
