About this role

Are you passionate about helping people become more active and improving opportunities for sport across Swansea? Swansea Council is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Community Sport Officer to join our Sport and Health Team. In this rewarding role, you will work with schools, sports clubs, community organisations and key partners to increase participation in sport and physical activity, particularly among children and young people. You will coordinate and develop a diverse programme of activities, support volunteers and young leaders, build strong community partnerships, and help create clear pathways into lifelong participation in sport. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and organisational skills, experience of working with young people and communities, and a commitment to equality, inclusion and improving health outcomes. If you are innovative, passionate about sport, and eager to make a real difference within Swansea's communities, we would love to hear from you. This position is temporary until 31st March 2028.

The salary for this position is Grade 6 £29,071.00 - £32,046.00 per annum.
