About this role
A procurement specialist supports various business lines to identify, shortlist, select, and acquire suitable goods or services or works from a third-party vendor through a direct purchase while ensuring timely delivery of the right quality and quantity. This role is also expected to maintain and build relationships with the existing suppliers and strategically diversify NOV's supplier base through
- Highschool education with 5 or more years of procurement experience or
- Associate degree or diploma (3-year degree) in a related field with 3-5 years of procurement experience or
- Engineering degree (4-year degree) with 1-2 years of procurement experience
- Contract negotiations and procurement processes experience in a manufacturing setting
- Able to evaluate vendor capabilities
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office Suite
- Working knowledge of supply chain fundamentals
- Data visualization
