About this role
The project:
This opportunity forms part of one of the most significant hyperscale data centre developments in the Asia Pacific region, delivering a multi-gigawatt, mission-critical campus in Queensland, Australia. With a projected construction programme spanning more than six years, the project offers the rare opportunity to contribute to a landmark development through multiple phases of design, delivery and operational readiness.
Working alongside a world-class client and an exceptional Mace team, you will help deliver infrastructure of the highest quality within a heavily regulated environment. This role will suit professionals who have experience on large-scale, complex projects and who consistently demonstrate the highest levels of integrity, professionalism and technical excellence.
You’ll be responsible for:
• Leads post-contract commercial activities, ensuring robust cost control, reporting and contract administration.
• Oversees valuations, variations and financial reporting to support informed decision-making.
• Provides expert guidance on contractual matters, claims management and project close-out.
• Identifies and manages cost impacts arising from design development, procurement and delivery activities.
• Leads and develops cost management teams, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Builds trusted client and stakeholder relationships, influencing outcomes and driving successful project delivery.
You’ll need to have:
• Extensive commercial management expertise across complex construction projects and contract frameworks.
• Degree in quantity surveying, cost management, or a related discipline.
• Strong leadership in risk, change, cost and contract administration.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and client relationship skills.
