Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our National Real Estate Practice Department team at Marsh. This role will be based in San Diego, CA and is an on-site role with a requirement of working at our client's office.
In this position, you will support insurance claims, litigation documentation, real estate risk operations, lender and investor insurance requests, and risk management data quality. You will play a key role in organizing information, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, supporting compliance obligations, and helping drive operational efficiency across the risk management function.
We will count on you to :
- Support claims intake, documentation, reporting, and follow-up across general liability, property, construction, and other insured matters.
- Maintain accurate claims, incident reports, litigation, and insurance documentation in the risk management system, ensuring data quality, completeness, and timely updates.
- Assist with claims trend reporting, loss runs, open matter summaries, exposure tracking, and other status updates for Risk Management leadership.
- Coordinate with brokers, carriers, TPAs, outside counsel, lenders, investors, auditors, state and federal agencies, and internal stakeholders.
- Support insurance renewal data collection, underwriting submissions, certificates and evidence of insurance, and lender/investor insurance requests.
- Review contracts, vendor agreements, insurance requirements, indemnity provisions, and risk transfer documentation for completeness, accuracy, and escalation as needed.
- Track litigation holds, insured litigation schedules, claim status updates, coverage correspondence, settlement documentation, and related matter activity.
- Respond to inquiries and maintain complete documentation of emails, attachments, claim files, and supporting records.
- Assist with claims procedures, reporting protocols, process improvements, and risk management system enhancements.
- Support insurance-related compliance obligations and help ensure timely responses to lender, investor, audit, and regulatory requests.
What you need to have:
- 6+ years of experience in insurance claims, legal support, risk management, real estate, property management, construction, or a related field.
- Ability to analyze claims, insurance, litigation, and risk data and summarize key trends, issues, and next steps.
- Strong organization, follow-through, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and documentation requirements.
- Working knowledge of insurance claims, risk transfer, certificates/evidence of insurance, contracts, and compliance support.
What makes you stand out:
- Licensed Notary with a Paralegal Certificate or equivalent
- Experience in real estate property management, development, construction, or General Liability Claims
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and claims, risk management, or document management systems; Origami Risk preferred

The applicable base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $100,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
