Job Title: CNC Programmer Job Description
The CNC Programmer will set up a comprehensive manufacturing strategy, including the necessary fixturing and tooling to produce parts as per specifications. This role involves programming CNC Mills and Wire EDM machines using the latest MasterCam software, planning projects, and creating process documentation from part drawings and models for manufacturing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, possesses good computer skills, and communicates effectively across departments.
Responsibilities
- Review drawings and customer requirements to develop a manufacturing strategy to produce parts that meet customer specifications.
- Create process documentation to be followed by machinists.
- Program CNC machines using MasterCam software.
- Read, understand, and adjust G&M code.
- Use MasterCam to program 2, 3, and 4-axis CNC machinery, including mills, lathes, and wire EDM machines.
- Plan the manufacturing process and create necessary shop paperwork from drawings and models.
Essential Skills
- Utilize MasterCam software.
- Program CNC machines of various sizes and fully machined parts.
- Develop and document manufacturing processes from start to finish.
- Critically think to resolve process issues as they arise.
- Extensive knowledge of CNC machine tools and controls.
- Extensive knowledge of tooling and machining strategies for complex geometry.
- Extensive knowledge of 2, 3, and 4-axis programming of CNC machine tools.
- Excellent blueprint reading and interpretation of GD&T on drawings.
- Excellent machine shop math skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a Machinist and confidence on the shop floor setting up and proving out programs.
- Ability to work independently and perform job requirements with limited supervision.
- Strives to build knowledge and skills continuously and shares expertise with others.
Work Environment
This position is onsite in Clackamas, OR, operating during the day shift from Monday to Thursday, 6am-4:30pm.

This is a Contract position based out of Clackamas, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
