This role is 100% on-site in Washington, DC at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB).

Job Description:

Blake Willson Group (BWG) is seeking an experienced Senior Federal Asset Accountant to support Federal financial management and asset accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Property, Plant, and Equipment (PP&E), Internal Use Software (IUS), lease accounting, depreciation and amortization, Construction in Progress (CIP), and asset-related financial statement support. In this position, you will also:

- Support Federal asset accounting activities related to PP&E, IUS, leases, depreciation and amortization, and CIP.

- Analyze asset accounting transactions and ensure appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with applicable Federal standards.

- Support asset-related financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting.

- Assist with the identification and resolution of asset accounting discrepancies and reconciliation issues.

- Apply Federal accounting standards related to PP&E, IUS, leases, impairments, and other asset-related activities.

- Support financial system and asset accounting processes, including transaction analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.

- Collaborate with accounting, financial management, and audit teams to support accurate and timely financial reporting.

- Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation related to asset accounting and financial statement activities.

Required Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

- 5+ years of Federal accounting experience.

- 2+ years of experience supporting PP&E, IUS, lease accounting, depreciation and amortization, CIP, and asset-related financial statement activities.

- 2+ years of experience applying Federal accounting standards related to PP&E, IUS, leases, and impairments.

Desired Skills:

- Experience working with Federal financial systems and asset accounting support processes.

- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and financial reporting skills.

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is desired.

- Experience supporting Federal financial statement audits and audit readiness activities.

- Experience with Federal asset management and accounting systems.

- Experience supporting year-end close and financial statement preparation.

At Blake Willson Group, we believe in transparency and fairness in compensation practices. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $160,000 in the United States. Your individual salary within this range will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to your education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
