About the role

EIC Activities is seeking an experienced Head of Digital Engineering Delivery to join our team in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney .

The Head of Digital Engineering Delivery is responsible for the governance, management and continuous improvement of EIC's digital engineering and information systems, standards and processes. Digital Engineering encompasses digital engineering models and associated tools, GIS, survey and all location systems. Digital information includes all that is necessary to common code, store and utilise digital information such that it can be optimally used in a digital information warehouse or digital twin.

The role provides leadership in information management, document control and CMS governance, ensuring engineering and project information is stored, maintained and managed in accordance with EIC policies, client requirements and industry best practice.

The position is accountable for establishing information management frameworks, maintaining digital information integrity, supporting project delivery teams and ensuring compliance with information governance requirements across EIC and the broader CIMIC Group.

The role also works closely with the Digital Transformation Office to develop systems and protocols necessary to common code, store and utilise digital information such that it can be optimally used in a digital information warehouse or digital twin, and is optimised for use in an AI environment

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for the governance, management and continuous improvement of EIC's digital engineering and information systems, standards and processes.
- Support successful project outcomes through effective Digital Engineering implementation.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, efficiency and project performance through digital solutions.
- Contribute to strategic planning, resource management and business growth initiatives.
- Monitor Digital Engineering performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support bid development, major pursuits and client presentations.
- Identify opportunities to improve information accessibility, efficiency and data quality through technology and process improvements.
- Be a strong partner in developing a digital information ecosystem with the CIMIC Transformation Office, such that information is available in a common coded environment and optimally positioned to support CIMIC’s AI initiatives
- Ensures the cost of EIC digital services is recovered in accordance with EIC cost recovery protocols
- Develop collaborative productive relationships with the Head of Design Engineering and Head of Design Strategy and Performance in EIC
- Develop strong relationships with CIMIC Transformation Office and CIMIC Heads of Functions in order to maximise development of a common digital information environment

About you

- Degree qualification in Digital Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated knowledge of digital engineering and information management principles and governance frameworks.
- Experience administering Common Data Environments and document management systems.
- Qualifications or certifications in BIM, Digital Engineering, Information Management or Project Information Management.
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 and associated information management standards.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Management or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience leading Digital Engineering functions within major infrastructure, engineering or construction environments.
- Strong understanding of Digital Engineering, BIM, information management and digital delivery practices.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with experience developing high-performing teams and driving organisational capability.
