About this role

Acacia Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.

We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment - balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support. We value credentialed technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital, helping elevate the quality of medicine, client experience, and patient care.

In this position, you will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit.

Responsibilities Include :

- Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows

- Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery

- Assisting in surgery

- Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography

- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately

- Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service

This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy variety in their day, are confident moving between exam room and procedure support, and want to fully utilize their clinical knowledge, technical skillset, and client communication abilities in a collaborative general practice environment.

Schedule and Compensation :

- Compensation: $21-$24 per hour, for each hour worked

- This can be a full or part-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday and rotating Saturdays .

- Bonus Package: $2000 based on active, good-standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of Arizona

Minimum Qualifications and Skill Set :

- 3+ years of veterinary technician experience

- Active and good-standing Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of Arizona **

- Proficiency in the following skills:

Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring

- Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery

- Surgical assistance and aseptic technique

- Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography

- Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement

- Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques

- Strong critical thinking and attention to detail

- Effective teamwork and professional communication skills

- Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning

**Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply
