About the Role

The Public Relations Manager – Capital Strategies is an integral part of Latham’s Brand & Communications team. This role will be responsible for supporting the firm's market-leading Capital Strategies group, which encompasses our market-leading practices in private credit, banking and finance, capital markets, hybrid capital, liability management, and restructuring, while developing and executing media strategies that elevate the firm's profile, showcasing cutting-edge work, and reinforcing the firm’s reputation as the market leader. This role will be located in our New York office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

- Driving proactive media engagement, generating story ideas, and building relationships with business, financial, legal, and trade media

- Identifying opportunities to raise the visibility of partners through interviews, podcasts, speaking engagements, and market commentary

- Partnering with social media and digital marketing teams to amplify media, awards and recognition, and key campaigns

- Owning strategic writing projects, including press releases, deal announcements, award submissions, talking points, and messaging

- Monitoring market developments and media coverage to spot opportunities to promote the practice, showcasing our insights and differentiated market position, and providing strategic recommendations on how best to capitalize on them

- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

We’d love to hear from you if you:

- Exhibit passion for capital markets, private credit, banking, and the evolving trends shaping financial markets

- Demonstrate a strong track record of securing meaningful media coverage and building relationships with business, financial, legal, and trade reporters

- Possess the ability to be a self-starter who takes ownership, demonstrates initiative and drive, and consistently creates innovative and impactful opportunities

And have:

- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field

- A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in media relations or corporate communications, either in-house or at a PR agency

- A minimum of ten (10) years of cumulative experience

- Experience in financial services, capital markets, investment banking, private equity, private credit, or a related sector

- Demonstrated success developing media strategies and securing meaningful coverage in business, financial, legal, and trade media

## Pay Range
USD $170,000.00 - USD $220,000.00 /Yr.
