QA Technician (Level I / Level II)
The QA Technician is responsible for auditing production activities, monitoring product quality, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards. This position partners closely with production, sanitation, and operations teams to identify quality concerns, verify process compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. ----- Responsibilities
- QA Technician I duties include monitoring one production line and performing quality checks.
- Conduct temperature checks, weight verification, size checks, grading, label reviews, package checks, color verification, and bone checks.
- Monitor and record HACCP temperatures during production.
- Enter production and quality data into company systems.
- Escalate HACCP deviations, foreign material findings, and QA holds to leadership.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Support food safety and quality objectives throughout production.
- QA Technician II duties include performing all Technician I duties plus monitoring multiple production lines simultaneously.
- Perform thermometer calibrations and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Conduct allergen reviews and changeover inspections.
- Complete QA hold reports and foreign material documentation.
- Monitor HACCP Critical Control Points (CCPs) and conduct pre-operational and operational sanitation inspections.
- Verify packaging weights, labels, seal integrity, and product appearance.
- Generate damaged goods reports and conduct Child Nutrition (CN) verification activities.
- Operate fat/moisture analytical equipment and perform environmental and equipment sanitation swabbing.
- Monitor metal detectors and contamination prevention systems.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new QA personnel.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
- Basic computer, math, and arithmetic skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Ability to accurately document quality observations and findings.
- Ability to accurately monitor and record production and quality data.
- Experience performing inspections and quality checks in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of GMPs, food safety, sanitation, or quality procedures.
- Ability to identify, communicate, and escalate quality concerns.
----- Preferred Skills & Experience
- Food manufacturing experience, HACCP and GMP experience, laboratory experience, quality assurance and control experience, bilingual English/Spanish.
- QA Technician II requires 6+ months of QA, food safety, manufacturing quality, laboratory, or regulated production experience.
- Prior HACCP and GMP exposure.
- Experience conducting inspections, audits, quality checks, or documentation reviews.
- Previous food manufacturing quality experience preferred.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38480.00 - $40560.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
