The Master Data Analyst (MD Analyst) position delivers support to internal and external customers for the efficient creation and maintenance of CHEPs Customer Master Data across the AMETA region. The role of the Master Data Analyst is to manage and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of an organization's master data. The Master Data Analyst plays a critical role in data governance and data management initiatives, ensuring that master data is accurately maintained and consistently applied though auditing of Customer and Pricing Master.
The role also supports process improvement and standardisation projects to support operational efficiency across the region. This includes supporting pricing and customer projects to create account structure and pricing solutions, automations, and other improvements to support the AMETA business.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
Perform detailed data analysis and quality control to identify irregularities and ensure resolution by collaborating with data engineering, business units, and IT teams. Develop and monitor KPIs to ensure compliance with data quality SLAs and proactively address potential data issues. Design and implement data integrity measures, including automation solutions, to streamline workflows and reduce manual errors. Maintain and enhance master data records using systems like SAP, Salesforce, PowerBI, and SQL, ensuring that data is up-to-date, reliable, and accessible. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process inefficiencies and recommend solutions to optimize data management and reporting capabilities aligning data quality with dynamic business needs. Create and maintain documentation for all data-related processes, including system configurations, data governance policies, and troubleshooting procedures. Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on data tools and processes to promote best practices and drive consistency across regions. Participate in data-related projects, ensuring that data integrity standards are maintained throughout the implementation of new systems or process changes.
Major/Key Accountabilities:
- Ensuring Salesforce requests/activities are accurately and timeously completed. Requests include but are not limited to; account location opening, pricing, account closure and general support of the CHEP invoice production process
- Managing the loading of new scheduled BI reporting as well as maintaining current scheduled where changes are required.
- Pre and Post billing checks to be done on a weekly basis.
- Responsible for the maintaining of customer master data in Salesforce and SAP where dual maintenance is required. Deliver a first-class customer service and strive to achieve departmental SLA’s.
- Responding to requests via Salesforce, liaising with internal customers via email and telephone
- Liaise and build relationships with other internal departments to ensure that the highest quality of master data is maintained.
- Managing the integrity of master data taking appropriate action where anomalies or errors are found in the data. Manage possible blockages to ensure efficiency in all operations.
- Subject Matter expert for projects impacting Masterdata.
- Manage regression testing when deemed necessary.
- Support Robotics process automation (RPA) through the review and testing of Master data automations and the manual processing of MD requests during Automation outages as needed.
- Support annual standard pricing uprate programs through mass update of SAP pricing data.
- Support change and continuous improvement projects to both organisation and process, to meet the needs of the customer and business.
- Support Internal and External Audit teams reporting as requested.
- Resolution of invoicing problems on a weekly basis.
- Continuously reviewing processes to implement automation and process efficiencies.

Qualifications
Certification in any of this : Information Systems/Computer Science/Data Analytics
Experience
- Experience of data management with accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience of SAP, Salesforce and Excel
Skills and Knowledge
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge and exposure to SAP and Salesforce systems would be advantageous
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be logical and have a methodical work ethic
- Minimum of 12 months experience working in a Master Data or administrative environment
