About this role
Job Requirements
- At Quest Global, it’s not just what we do but how and why we do it that makes us different. With over 25 years as an engineering services provider, we believe in the power of doing things differently to make the impossible possible. Our people are driven by the desire to make the world a better place—to make a positive difference that contributes to a brighter future. We bring together technologies and industries, alongside the contributions of diverse individuals who are empowered by an intentional workplace culture, to solve problems better and faster.
Requirment:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics,Mechatronics, or a related field. With Controls background
- 8-15 years of hands-on Model-Based Design experience in MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow, including at least 2 years defining system or software architecture with System Composer (or direct equivalent MBSE tooling).
- Experience with Simulink Test, Simulink Coverage, and Simulink Design Verifier.
- Demonstrated experience defining and managing interfaces between software modules/components — signal definitions, data dictionaries, timing, and versioned interface control documents.
- Practical experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing — bench setup, test execution and debugging on platforms such as dSPACE, NI, Speedgoat, or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of communication protocols and interfaces, specifically Ethernet and serial (e.g. TCP/IP ,RS-232/RS-485/UART);
- Comfortable owning integration across multiple contributing teams and being the final technical checkpoint before a feature moves downstream.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring a small technical team.
We are known for our extraordinary people who make the impossible possible every day. Questians are driven by hunger, humility, and aspiration. We believe that our company culture is the key to our ability to make a true difference in every industry we reach. Our teams regularly invest time and dedicated effort into internal culture work, ensuring that all voices are heard.
We wholeheartedly believe in the diversity of thought that comes with fostering a culture rooted in respect, where everyone belongs, is valued, and feels inspired to share their ideas. We know embracing our unique differences makes us better, and that solving the worlds hardest engineering problems requires diverse ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds. We shine the brightest when we tap into the many dimensions that thrive across over 21,000 difference-makers in our workplace.
Work Experience
- Author and maintain feature/function architecture models in System Composer, capturing components, ports, connectors and interface contracts.
- Define and manage interfaces between modules and between Module teams — signal lists, data dictionariesand signal definitions (e.g. DBC/ARXML) — and control changes to them.
- Break a feature down into smaller functions and, allocate them to the responsible module teams, and keep the feature-level requirement and interface baseline current and traceable.
- Review architecture and interface changes proposed by tiger teams; approve or reject based on impact to the feature baseline.
- Integrate SCNs from multiple tiger teams into a single feature build in Simulink/Stateflow, resolving interface and merge conflicts.
- Define and execute the feature-level test plan: MIL and SIL testing, back-to-back comparison between model and generated code, and regression testing.
- Set up and run Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) tests for the integrated feature, including bench configuration, signal routing, and fault injection over Ethernet and serial/CAN interfaces.
