Key Responsibilities
System Implementation & Configuration
- Control System Programming: Perform end-to-end functionality implementation by configuring and programming operation technology systems, including PLCs, HMI, and SCADA .
- Component Integration: Manage the integration of various components and technologies, specifically focusing on software integration for control and data management .
- Cloud & Data Integration: Implement cloud computing services to streamline workflows and automate procedures through centralized solutions, ensuring sub-second response times for mission-critical systems .
- Data Repository Management: Identify data sources within the warehouse automation system and integrate them into a centralized data repository to optimize operations and preventative maintenance .
Testing & Validation
- Automated Testing: Develop and execute customized automated testing for systems, integration, new feature releases, and peak load handling to ensure high-quality site rollouts .
- Validation: Test and validate all automation system functions .
- Simulation & Virtual Commissioning: Utilize warehouse simulators to emulate software testing for virtual commissioning, performance evaluation, and scenario-based analysis to identify future bottlenecks .
Modernization & Support
- Legacy Code Refactoring: Modernize existing software through legacy code refactoring to improve reliability and efficiency, ensuring migration aligns with modern software development practices .
- DevOps Implementation: Manage the development, deployment, and management of software and control systems using DevOps practices to create more agile and responsive systems .
- Operational Support: Provide 24/7 live production support, system upgrades, and sustaining engineering to minimize downtime .
Technical Focus Areas
The Software Integrator works across the following systems and technologies :
- Management Systems: Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), Labor Management, and Slotting Systems.
- Hardware Integration: Integrating software with conveyor systems, AS/RS, sortation systems, shuttles, put-walls, and pack stations.
- Advanced Tech: Incorporating AI, IoT, robotics, big data, and Robotic Digital Twins into the warehouse ecosystem.
