SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager I that will provide support for the vision, direction, and day to day operations of the Supply Chain organization. You will work closely with operations teams and suppliers to plan, coordinate, and execute Supply Chain activities. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials to meet project timelines and requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for identifying and developing short and long-term sourcing strategies to achieve business objectives for the Supply Chain function and contribute to Company-wide strategy
- Establish strong and effective relationships with key suppliers (existing and new) to ensure contracts and agreement quality, cost, delivery, and productivity, while leveraging the combined buying power of Mortenson’s operations
- Collaborate across all business functions to formulate, implement, and execute sourcing and continuous improvement strategies along with develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including service groups, operations, finance, and IT
- Provide centralized leadership to designated aspects of construction project-specific procurement and identify aspects that necessitate independent, site-level procurement
- Develop the vision and key focus areas for the team of purchasing agents and buyers, while establishing strategies for sourcing and supply chain with process excellence focus
- Foster teamwork, collaboration, and integration within Supply Chain and across Mortenson to provide cohesive solutions and ensure effective delivery of strategy
- Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively set individual and team priorities as well as manage performance
- Champion superior customer service by ensuring a customer focused approach and strong service orientation
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, construction management or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience
- Minimum 12 years of experience
- Demonstrated success leading supply chain operations within complex manufacturing environments, including capacity planning, production scheduling, supplier management, inventory optimization, and operational execution.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and leading enterprise-wide Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) processes.
- Strong expertise in demand planning, supply planning, production scheduling, and/or scenario-based planning.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders, align cross-functional stakeholders, and drive enterprise-wide decisions without direct authority.
- Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing supply chain teams across multiple disciplines and operating groups.
- Current driver’s license

The base pay range for this role is $128,200 MIN - $192,300 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
