YOUR IMPACT

As a Senior Software Developer at OpenText, you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and modern frontend technologies. You will contribute to AI-powered capabilities by leveraging Python, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI agents and tools.

You will take ownership of software quality and delivery, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and build scalable, high-performing applications that integrate backend services, frontend interfaces, and AI-driven functionality.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

- Independently design and develop complex enterprise software components using Java and related technologies.
- Build and maintain microservices-based applications using Spring Boot.
- Develop AI-powered capabilities using Python, LLMs, and frameworks or tools for creating AI agents.
- Build and integrate AI agents and tools to support application functionality and workflows.
- Develop frontend components using JavaScript and Angular.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs to enable integration between application components and services.
- Work with databases, SQL, and data modeling to support application requirements.
- Develop, test, and optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Use CI/CD and DevOps tools and practices to streamline development and deployment.
- Work with Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Cloud Foundry.
- Take ownership of code quality through code reviews, regression testing, and defect prevention.
- Provide bottom-up estimates and deliver assigned work within agreed timelines.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design, planning, and continuous process improvement.
- Follow Agile development methodologies and test-driven development practices.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate progress, issues, and solutions clearly.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or an equivalent qualification.
- 6+ years of enterprise product development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java and related technologies.
- Experience developing applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
- Good working experience with Python.
- Experience with LLMs and developing AI agents or tools.
- Strong JavaScript skills and hands-on experience with Angular or other relevant UI technologies.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Good understanding of SQL, databases, and data modeling.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools.
- Working experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Good understanding of Cloud Foundry.
- Experience with regression testing, performance optimization, and software quality practices.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, design, and coding skills.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycles and Agile methodologies.
- Experience in the content management domain.
- Experience working with OpenText products.
- Exposure to test-driven development and automated testing practices.
- Experience building AI-powered features for enterprise applications.
