Job Title: Assistant Project Manager/ Project Engineer Job Description The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for profitably managing key areas of electrical or technology construction projects, including manpower, material, and money. Under the guidance of the Regional VP of Construction or President, you will ensure the successful execution of data center projects. Responsibilities
- Ensure safety and quality control of projects.
- Direct team members to establish budgets or cost estimates.
- Delegate tasks to the Project Coordinator.
- Manage labor volume for field resources and identify necessary resource types.
- Establish and maintain project documentation, providing timely information to team members and stakeholders.
- Draft and manage contract change proposals and address changes in project scope.
- Communicate with field workers, owners, general contractors, or design professionals to resolve issues.
- Submit product, material, and service data for customer approval and coordinate installation.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones, tracking progress effectively.
- Coordinate material delivery to construction sites.
- Manage project financials, including billing, in collaboration with the Accounting department.
- Conduct project close-out and provide recommendations for future improvements.
- Develop and maintain business relationships crucial to company success.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop leads into project opportunities.
- Acquire resources and coordinate team members and subcontractors to deliver projects as per plans.
- Understand and apply Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Job Productivity Assurance and Control (JPAC), and Short Interval Scheduling (SIS).
- Manipulate and extract data from project planning and tracking software.
- Learn and apply Agile Construction principles and commercial construction estimation.
Essential Skills
- 2-5 years of project experience in mechanical or electrical construction.
- Strong people management skills.
- Understanding of accounting and financial management.
- Knowledge of electrical materials and purchase costs.
- Experience with low voltage systems and technology.
- Excellent communication and positive interaction skills.
- Systemic organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office, especially Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Willingness to learn Agile Construction principles.
- Experience with project engineering and forecasting.
Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Port Washington, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $130000.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
