DISPATCHER
Responsible for helping oversee and coordinate scheduling and logistics for crane, rigging, and trucking operations. This role assists the operations manager on daily dispatch activities, and ensures efficient utilization of personnel and equipment while maintaining strict safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily dispatch operations for cranes, rigging crews, transport, and equipment.
- Optimize scheduling to maximize equipment utilization, crew productivity, and job profitability.
- Assign operators, drivers, and rigging personnel based on certifications, qualifications, and project requirements.
- Serve as assist for scheduling conflicts, operational challenges, and customer issues.
- Help monitor job execution in real time and proactively adjust resources due to delays, weather, mechanical issues, or changing site conditions.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records, job tracking, and operational reporting.
- Maintain compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and company safety policies.
- Participate in after-hours and emergency dispatch rotation as required.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of dispatch or operations coordination experience in crane, rigging, construction, or specialized transportation industries.
- Strong working knowledge of crane operations, load requirements, and logistics coordination.
- Understanding of DOT/FMCSA regulations.
- Ability to make sound decisions in time-sensitive environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment
- Continuous coordination with field personnel, customers, and management.
- Extended hours, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and emergency response may be required based on operational needs.
