Job Description
The Business Operations Analyst 2 supports the day-to-day operations and administrative activities of JusticeTech. This position coordinates operational processes, project activities, communications, and program logistics to help ensure initiatives are executed effectively and in accordance with established goals and timelines. The role works closely with the Executive Director and program stakeholders to support projects, maintain administrative operations, and facilitate communication among team members and partners.
Essential Duties
Operations & Administrative Support
- Coordinate day-to-day administrative activities for JusticeTech, including scheduling, travel arrangements, purchasing, vendor coordination, and program logistics.
- Monitor program budgets and expenditures and provide routine reports to leadership on spending and budget status.
- Maintain records, files, project documentation, and administrative systems.
- Coordinate meetings and prepare agendas, notes, and supporting materials.
- Assist with development and distribution of routine reports, communications, and presentations.
- Respond to inquiries and coordinate information requests from internal and external stakeholders.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate project activities by tracking timelines, deliverables, and action items for JusticeTech initiatives.
- Monitor project progress and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Assist with meeting coordination and follow-up activities to support project implementation.
- Identify scheduling conflicts or operational issues and escalate concerns as appropriate.
- Support implementation of established project plans and priorities
Marketing, Outreach, and Event Coordination
- Assist with coordination of marketing and communication activities that promote JusticeTech programs and events.
- Support planning and logistics for meetings, workshops, events, and program activities.
- Coordinate distribution of promotional and informational materials.
- Maintain program information on approved communication platforms.
Operational Processes and Documentation
- Assist with documenting and maintaining standard operating procedures and administrative processes.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Support training of staff and student employees on established procedures and practices.
Other Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of JusticeTech operations and programs.
Additional Information:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required; 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams of moderate scope and complexity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience supporting planning, reporting, and administrative operations.
- Ability to work with general guidance, exercise sound judgment within defined parameters, and escalate matters requiring more detailed instruction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in higher education, nonprofit, or mission-driven technology environment.
- Experience supporting grant writing, fundraising operations, or efforts to secure sustained/permanent program funding.
- Experience developing SOPs or operational playbooks for growing programs or teams.
