Scope/Summary:
The Researcher 1 will support research efforts in the laboratory of Dr. Natalia Pakharukova by participating in the planning, execution, and analysis of studies focused on understanding the mechanisms of GPCR and β-arrestin signaling in cancer and innate immunity. The position applies biochemical, cellular, and structural biology techniques to advance understanding of cell signaling regulation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, health sciences, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior laboratory research experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, or cell biology.
- Ability to apply scientific knowledge and research methodologies in a biological or health sciences environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on research projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cell culture and molecular biology.
- Experience in protein expression and chromatographic purification techniques.
- Familiarity with structural biology techniques (e.g., X-ray crystallography or cryo-electron microscopy) is a plus.
- Experience contributing to scientific publications, presentations, or grant applications.
- Self-motivated, with a strong interest in research and a proactive approach to developing new skills.
