What You'll Do
As a Construction Administrator, you'll oversee and coordinate construction administration activities for a variety of projects while serving as a trusted resource for clients, contractors, and internal project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction administration efforts for multiple architectural and engineering projects.
- Review and process RFIs, ASIs, CCDs, Proposal Requests, Change Orders, Shop Drawings, and other construction documentation.
- Interpret project specifications, contract documents, and AIA agreements.
- Conduct site visits and field observations to monitor construction progress and help ensure design intent is maintained.
- Track project activities, correspondence, and construction documentation throughout the construction phase.
- Collaborate with owners, clients, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams to resolve issues and support project schedules.
- Review contractor pay applications and assist with project closeout activities.
- Participate in construction meetings and provide guidance throughout project execution.
- Help facilitate communication between design teams and construction teams to support successful project delivery.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Degree or certification in Construction Management, Architecture, Building Construction, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in Construction Administration within an Architecture or Engineering firm.
- Strong understanding of commercial, institutional, healthcare, educational, or civic construction projects.
- Knowledge of AIA contract documents and construction administration processes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel locally for project site visits and inspections.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCCA (Certified Construction Contract Administrator) certification.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Newforma, or similar construction management software.
- Strong client-facing skills and the ability to build effective relationships with contractors, owners, and project stakeholders.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. This position is based in a collaborative architectural and engineering office in Charlotte, specializing in senior living, education, healthcare, and government facilities across multiple regions. The role combines in-office collaboration with regular site visits for construction observations and client and contractor meetings.
