About this role

SAIC is seeking an exceptional Senior Facilities Project Manager to serve as the Site Lead for our team supporting the Client in Alice Springs, Australia. This critical leadership role provides strategic, operational, and project management oversight for a growing onsite workforce supporting facilities operations, recapitalization efforts, improvement initiatives, and new construction. An active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.

As the Site Lead, you will operate with significant autonomy, serving as the senior SAIC facilities representative on-site while collaborating closely with geographically remote leadership. You will guide a multidisciplinary team, ensure execution excellence across facility operations and projects, and continuously identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, communication, and mission success.

You will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing a critical government facility, ensuring continuity of operations and the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include:

Team Leadership & Site Management

- Oversee day-to-day team activities, ensuring work is appropriately allocated, prioritized, and tracked for successful completion.
- Provide clear communication and alignment among team members, senior management, and Client stakeholders.
- Coach, mentor, and support staff to drive high performance, professional development, and a collaborative team culture.
- Build and sustain a flexible, multi-functional team capable of addressing diverse facilities-related challenges.
- Monitor and assess team performance, offering constructive feedback and recognition.
- Operate independently from senior leadership while maintaining strong communication channels and operational transparency.

Facilities Project Management

- Manage a portfolio of facilities projects ranging from $100K to $100M+, ensuring successful planning, execution, budget adherence, and schedule compliance.
- Serve as the coordination hub among the Client, stakeholders, Site O&M teams, customers, and design/construction contractors.
- Act as liaison with U.S. Government representatives at multiple levels, ensuring consistent communication and alignment of objectives.
- Collaborate with executing agents to meet customer requirements on time, within budget, and at the required quality.
- Coordinate resource allocation, maintain project documentation, and ensure rigorous document control practices.
- Analyze organizational and project processes, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and mission effectiveness.

Qualifications - External

- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Bachelors degree and 18 years or more of related experience, Masters and 13, or PhD or JD and 13 years of experience. Degree may be substituted for additional years of related experience.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing contracts and contractor performance.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong facilities project management expertise, including performance, budget, and schedule.
- Familiarity with architectural, electrical, and/or mechanical systems.
- Ability to make sound, timely decisions with limited supervision.

Desired Qualifications

- Knowledge of the Client’s operations.
- Master’s Degree in an Architectural or Engineering Field
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
