CIBC’s Global Transaction Banking (GTB) business is an innovative vertical within the bank, focused on delivering leading-edge solutions for corporate, government and institutional clients. Our mission is to enable growth, capital raising, and investment across North America and key global financial centers, positioning CIBC as the preferred Capital Markets banking partner.

The Director, Product Management - Global Transaction Banking will drive product engagement on tokenized payments readiness and digital cash enablement, positioning CIBC to support secure, scalable, and programmable digital money capabilities for corporate and institutional clients. The Director will play a key role in the product strategy, target-state architecture, use cases, and readiness roadmap; shape client and industry engagement; and coordinate delivery across product, technology, operations, risk, compliance, legal, and external partners. This role also requires broader subject matter expertise across transaction banking, including correspondent banking, cash management, payments, and liquidity solutions, to ensure emerging digital cash capabilities integrate effectively with CIBC’s existing platforms and operating model.

How you'll succeed

- Drive product growth – Drive and support tokenized payments readiness and digital cash enablement, defining the vision, key use cases, and roadmap for corporate and institutional clients to support product and revenue growth.
- Deliver competitive solutions – Translate client needs and market opportunities into scalable transaction banking, payments, liquidity, and digital cash solutions in partnership with business and technology stakeholders.
- Manage product evolution – Validate priority use cases, shape architecture decisions, and align product and sales activities to support business strategy within legal, regulatory, risk, and operational requirements.
- Monitor trends and optimize performance – Monitor market trends, including regulatory requirements, and act on strategic opportunities or risk trends affecting the business. Optimize resource allocation to support business priorities and outcomes.
- Build strategic relationships – Strengthen relationships with clients, vendors, industry partners, and internal stakeholders across Capital Markets and CIBC to promote the business and improve efficiency.
- Advance strategic initiatives – Partner with cross-functional business, product, and technology teams to advance the organization’s transaction banking product agenda, support the rollout of strategic product initiatives, and execute large, complex initiatives on time and within budget.
- Expand product capabilities – Advance new product capabilities and market expansion initiatives, including the launch of innovative transaction banking solutions in key jurisdictions.

Who you are

- You have the expertise to lead in this space. You bring 10+ years of progressive experience in transaction banking, cash management, payments, digital assets and/or related capital markets, along with extensive knowledge of the financial services industry. You have a degree or diploma in business or accounting, and a Product Management certification is preferred.
- You bring strong product, technology, and delivery experience. You have a solid understanding of payments infrastructure, digital assets and digital cash concepts, capabilities, and end-to-end operational processes. You’ve also led large, complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external delivery partners.
- You drive continuous improvement. You can establish key processes where none exist, lead design and development activities, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- You are a strong communicator and relationship builder. You bring strong interpersonal and presentation skills, communicate emerging issues and proposed solutions clearly, and build trusted relationships through respect and authenticity.
- You act like an owner and work collaboratively. You thrive when you're empowered to take initiative, deliver results, and work with others to turn strong ideas into meaningful outcomes.
