The Test Line Technician is responsible for assisting with the assembly, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of manufacturing systems and equipment. This role requires the ability to interpret technical documentation, safely perform pressure testing and electrical assembly activities, and support production goals while adhering to quality and safety standards.
## Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of components and tubing.
- Identify different materials used such as PFA, PP, PVC, HDPE, and PVDF.
- Read, comprehend, and follow work instructions and procedures.
- Read basic schematics with supervision.
- Follow basic electrical ladder diagrams with guidance.
- Follow Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) with guidance.
- Follow basic I/O Memory Maps with assistance.
- Fit up electrical panels with supervision.
- Assist with the field installation of electrical components.
- Set up CDA (Clean Dry Air) and N₂ (Nitrogen) assemblies under supervision.
- Trace and follow air lines from solenoid block to valves.
- Follow PFDs to ensure proper labeling and nomenclature.
- Identify various pipes and tubing sizes.
- Identify different screw/bolt types and sizes.
- Assist in performing system pressure testing under supervision.
- Proficient knowledge of proper safety practices and risks associated with pressure testing.
- Utilize Microsoft Office such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality standards within the manufacturing process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
## Show your expertise
- Basic understanding of electrical and electronic theory.
- Read and accurately use a tape measure.
- Identify a measurement on a print (metric, fractional, and decimal), and take accurate measurements.
- Understand the hazards associated with gases and chemicals.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools and how to safely use them.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
