<p>................</p><p>For our client in<strong> Zurich</strong>, we are looking for an <strong>Senior Network & Firewall Engineer (Check Point)</strong></p><p><strong>In this project</strong>, you will take on a key role in managing, securing, and optimizing a highly complex, business-critical network infrastructure within a <strong>Software as a Service (SaaS) environment serving multiple financial institutions</strong>. You will ensure the stability, security, and performance of enterprise network and firewall environments, with a particular focus on <strong>Check Point technologies, advanced networking, and high availability</strong>. Working closely with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of secure and reliable network solutions.</p><p><strong>Your Tasks:</strong></p><ul><li>Administration, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of <strong>Check Point Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW)</strong></li><li>Management of <strong>Check Point Security Management, SmartConsole, Security Gateways</strong>, and firewall policies</li><li>Configuration and optimization of <strong>NAT, VPN connectivity, firewall rules, and network segmentation</strong></li><li>Operation and continuous improvement of complex <strong>enterprise network infrastructures</strong> in a business-critical SaaS environment</li><li>Analysis and resolution of advanced network issues involving <strong>TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, routing, and switching</strong></li><li>Implementation and maintenance of <strong>high-availability solutions</strong>, including Check Point ClusterXL</li><li>Execution of firewall upgrades, migrations, patching, and security hardening activities</li><li>Ensuring secure connectivity and network isolation across multiple customer environments</li><li>Troubleshooting of network performance, availability, and connectivity issues</li><li>Participation in <strong>incident management, root cause analysis, and change management</strong> processes</li><li>Collaboration with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams on network optimization and modernization initiatives</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Your Profile:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Professional experience</strong> in Network Engineering, Network Security, or Firewall Administration</li><li>Extensive hands-on experience with <strong>Check Point Firewalls</strong>, including configuration, administration, policy management, and troubleshooting</li><li>Strong expertise in <strong>enterprise networking, routing, switching, and network security</strong></li><li>In-depth knowledge of <strong>TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, IPsec VPNs, and network segmentation</strong></li><li>Proven experience working with <strong>large-scale, complex network infrastructures</strong></li><li>Experience supporting <strong>high-availability, security-critical production environments</strong></li><li>Good understanding of <strong>multi-tenant environments</strong>, secure customer connectivity, and network isolation</li><li>Experience in <strong>banking, financial services, FinTech, or enterprise SaaS environments</strong> is highly desirable</li><li>Knowledge of <strong>Check Point VSX, Multi-Domain Security Management (MDSM), and ClusterXL</strong> is an advantage</li><li><strong>Check Point certifications (CCSA/CCSE)</strong> are an advantage</li><li>Experience with <strong>cloud networking (AWS/Azure)</strong> and network automation tools such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform is a plus</li><li>Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach</li><li>Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams</li><li><strong>Fluent English skills</strong> are required, German language skills are an advantage</li></ul>
