About this role

Job Title: Electrical Designer Job Description This role focuses on producing accurate and consistent electrical documentation for existing uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and backup power system configurations used globally. You will work primarily from established templates, examples, and standards to create and modify single-line diagrams, multi-line schematics, and panel schedules with electrical loads. The position operates within a structured checker and review workflow to ensure all drawings align, meet applicable wiring requirements, and clearly communicate the intended design story. Responsibilities

- Produce detailed electrical documentation for existing UPS and backup power system configurations, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Create and modify single-line diagrams that clearly represent power distribution and system topology.
- Develop and update multi-line schematics to illustrate wiring, circuit connections, and control logic.
- Prepare panel schedules with electrical loads, ensuring correct load assignments and alignment with system requirements.
- Generate documentation that supports multiple voltage and power-service variations used across global sites.
- Work from existing templates, examples, and established standards rather than performing greenfield design.
- Operate within a structured checker and review workflow to validate accuracy, consistency, and completeness of all documentation.
- Ensure single-line and multi-line drawings align, remain consistent, and effectively tell the same story across all documents.
- Use electrical design software to develop and refine wiring and circuit designs.
- Create bills of materials (BOMs) using site definitions and statements of work (SOW) to ensure all required components are captured.
- Apply knowledge of NEC wiring requirements when preparing or reviewing documentation.
- Troubleshoot electrical assemblies remotely by reviewing single-line and multi-line diagrams to identify root causes of issues.
- Collaborate with team members working on special and confidential projects, contributing to high-quality deliverables.

Essential Skills

- At least 3 years of electrical design and documentation experience.
- Proficiency in creating single-line diagrams for power distribution systems.
- Experience developing panel schedules that include electrical loads.
- Experience creating multi-line diagrams (schematics) for wiring and circuit design.
- Hands-on experience with electrical design software for wiring and circuit design.
- Experience creating bills of materials (BOMs) using site definitions and statements of work (SOW).
- Familiarity with NEC wiring requirements and their application in design documentation.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical assemblies remotely using single-line and multi-line diagrams to identify root causes.
- Background in electrical design, schematic development, or electrical engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience with EPLAN electrical design software.
- Experience designing wiring for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.
- Exposure to UPS and backup power system configurations.
- Ability to work effectively within a structured review and checker process.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality documentation.
