Huntleigh USA is seeking dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as a Part-Time Airport Cleaner at Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
This position focuses exclusively on cleaning airport offices, airline work areas, and designated employee break rooms . We are looking for candidates who take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
POSITION DETAILS
- Position: Part-Time Cleaner

- Employment Type: Part-Time
- Shift Start Time: 6:00 AM until completion of assigned cleaning duties
- Pay Rate: $20.13 per hr.
- Schedule Requirements: Weekend and holiday availability is required
- Security Requirement: Must successfully pass the required background check and obtain a SIDA badge
POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, and organized airport office spaces and designated airline work and break areas. This includes collecting trash, cleaning floors and surfaces, preparing approved cleaning solutions, and ensuring assigned areas meet established cleanliness and sanitation standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean and maintain airport offices and designated airline work areas.
- Clean and sanitize employee break rooms and other assigned office-related spaces.
- Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors as needed.
- Clean and sanitize designated surfaces and high-touch areas.
- Prepare cleaning solutions according to established specifications and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Provide courteous and professional customer service when interacting with airport employees, airline staff, and other personnel.
- Follow all company policies, cleaning procedures, and airport security requirements.
- Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned.
Please note: This position is for airport office and designated work-area cleaning only. It is not an aircraft cabin cleaning position.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be able to successfully pass the required FBI clearance and airport background checks.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge .
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
IDEAL CANDIDATE

- Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Takes pride in cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail.
- Enjoys helping others and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
- Customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Speaking a second language is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must be able to perform the physical duties associated with airport cleaning, including:
- Lifting, carrying, or holding items weighing up to 75 pounds or more, as required by the position.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Frequently bending, squatting, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
- Performing repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
- Safely handling cleaning supplies and equipment in accordance with established procedures.
