Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable 1st Shift CNC Lathe Machinist / Operator to join a manufacturing team in Spring, TX . In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathe machinery to produce high-quality parts according to precise specifications during day shift hours.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with lathe setups, a strong working knowledge of standard industry controls, and the ability to make program edits on the fly.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Machine Setup: Capable of independently setting up 3-jaw chucks , fixtures, and tooling for production runs. Programming & Adjustments: Ability to edit programs directly at the machine control to optimize efficiency and ensure accuracy. Operation & Monitoring: Load raw materials, execute programs, and monitor the machining process to ensure parts conform to strict tolerances. Quality Inspection: Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to inspect first-run and sample workpieces. Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance and keep a clean, safe workspace.
Qualifications & Skills: Control Familiarity: Must be highly familiar with FANUC controls . Equipment Experience: Prior experience running Doosan lathes is a strong plus . Language Skills: Ability to speak Spanish is highly preferred to effectively collaborate with the team. Detail-Oriented: Strong blueprint reading skills and mathematical proficiency. Reliability: Consistent attendance and a strong work ethic are required for our 40-hour work week.
