About this role
Perform aerosciences analyses to characterize aerodynamic and aerothermodynamic environments as well as performance of decelerator systems for crewed spacecrafts.
Example projects in support of the Commercial Crew, Orion, ISS or HLS programs are:
- computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations of human-rated spacecrafts
- modeling of rarefied gas flow fields observed during on-orbit operations
- post-flight aerodynamics and/or aerothermodynamics data analyses
- decelerator systems analysis and modeling
