About this role
This project is a full-time on-site internship working on the fabrication of 1D lobster eye X-ray optics for X-ray astronomy. Preferred candidates will be a undergraduate junior/senior and enjoy hands-on laboratory work. The project will involve some combination of assembly of X-ray optical systems, thin-film coating and characterization, and calibration of optics in the MSFC X-ray beam line. Interns will be expected to full-time in-person in the laboratory and be on-site every day. Experience in programming (Python or Matlab) is desired.
