POSITION OVERVIEW

Huntleigh USA is seeking dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Full-Time Janitors at Sacramento International Airport (SMF) . Qualified candidates will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and the overall appearance of airport work areas, including offices, gate areas, jet bridges, and stairways.

AVAILABLE SHIFTS

- Shift 1: 7:30 PM – 4:00 AM

- Shift 2: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

Important: Weekend and holiday availability is required. Candidates must be flexible and willing to assist with cleaning in other Southwest Airlines areas when operational needs require it.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform general cleaning and disinfecting of offices and designated work areas.

- Sweep and mop floors.

- Dust surfaces and remove debris.

- Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly.

- Clean and maintain jet bridges.

- Clean stairways and surrounding areas.

- Maintain cleanliness in airport gate areas.

- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.

- Assist with cleaning other Southwest Airlines areas as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be able to perform the physical duties associated with airport janitorial work, including:

- Walking up and down stairs throughout the shift.

- Standing, walking, lifting, squatting, stooping, pushing, and bending throughout the workday.

- Lifting, carrying, and/or holding 10–20 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Performing repetitive cleaning tasks while maintaining attention to safety and cleanliness.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Must be at least 18 years of age.

- A high school diploma or equivalent may be required at certain locations.

- Must have reliable transportation.

- Must have a reliable telephone number for contact.

- Must be able to read, write, speak, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.

- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work weekends and holidays.

- Must be willing to assist in other Southwest Airlines areas when needed.

BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG/ALCOHOL TESTING

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing the required background check and any applicable screening requirements.

Drug and alcohol testing, including DOT or non-DOT testing and random testing when applicable, may be required based on the position and operational needs.
