POSITION OVERVIEW
Huntleigh USA Corporation is seeking dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious individuals to join our team as Full-Time Cabin Services Agents at Sacramento International Airport (SMF) .
Cabin Services Agents are responsible for cleaning and maintaining aircraft interiors to meet client expectations and company standards. This position also requires conducting thorough aircraft searches to ensure all required areas are inspected and no unauthorized or prohibited items remain onboard.
Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced airport environment while following all applicable safety procedures and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements.
AVAILABLE SHIFT
- Overnight Shift: 10:30 PM – 7:30 AM
Important: Weekend and holiday availability is required. Employees may also be required to assist with cleaning in other Southwest Airlines areas when operational needs arise.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean aircraft interiors according to established procedures and client requirements.
- Vacuum aircraft floors and designated areas.
- Wipe down interior surfaces and remove trash.
- Assist with the proper collection and disposal of trash.
- Organize and maintain cleaning supplies to support the cleaning team.
- Conduct thorough aircraft searches as trained, inspecting every required area every time.
- Follow all applicable TSA aircraft search procedures and requirements.
- Identify and report potential hazards that could cause injury to employees or passengers.
- Follow all safety precautions when using cleaning equipment, supplies, and chemical solutions.
- Complete accurate incident reports for accidents or unusual events occurring during aircraft cleaning or security-related duties.
- Assist with additional cleaning assignments in other Southwest Airlines areas as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must be able to perform the physical duties associated with aircraft cabin cleaning, including:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Bending regularly and reaching throughout aircraft interiors to clean and inspect all required areas.
- Lifting, pushing, and pulling vacuum equipment, cleaning equipment, and supplies.
- Performing repetitive cleaning and inspection tasks.
- Safely handling cleaning equipment and supplies while following established safety procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to read, understand, and speak English.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced airport environment.
- Must demonstrate attention to detail when cleaning and conducting aircraft searches.
- Must understand and follow safety requirements, procedures, and expectations.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be available to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be willing to assist with cleaning other Southwest Airlines areas when needed.
BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG/ALCOHOL TESTING
Employment is contingent upon successfully completing the required background screening, including an FBI background check as applicable to the position.
Drug and alcohol testing may be required based on the position and operational needs. Candidates must be able to meet all applicable security and employment requirements.
